Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education

The Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education entered into force on 1st February 2018, after five countries (Australia in Jul 2014, China in Jul 2014, New Zealand in Aug 2017, Japan in Dec 2017, and the Republic of Korea in Dec 2017) expressed agreement to be bound by the Convention. The convention aims to encourage international collaboration and mobility, and to ensure the recognition of qualifications in higher education as widely as possible in order to promote lifelong education and the democratization of education.
