On 19 December 2017, the Republic of Korea deposited with the Director-General its instrument of ratification of the Revised Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education. In accordance with the terms of its Article X.2, the Convention will enter into force on the first day of the month following the expiration of the period of one month after five UNESCO Member States of the Asia-Pacific region have expressed their consent to be bound by this Convention. The instrument of ratification of the Republic of Korea being the fifth, the Convention will enter into force on the first day of the month following the expiration of the period of one month after the date of deposit of this instrument, that is to say, on 1 February 2018, with respect to the following States: Australia China Japan New Zealand Republic of Korea In accordance with the terms of its Article X.2, the Convention shall enter into force for each other State on the first day of the month following the expiration of the period of one month after the date of expressing its consent to be bound by the Convention.
