There are general and special types of college admissions. The general typical is the typical type for selecting students according to universal educational standards for ordinary students, and the special type is the selection of students for those who need to be typical according to the criteria set forth by the university, such as a special career or aptitude, or by differential educational compensation standards. The Special type includes foreign nationals and foreign nationals.

The College Scholastic Ability Test is intended to measure the Scholastic ability required for university and college education, to contribute to the normalization of high school education by submitting it in accordance with the content and level of the high school curriculum, and to provide university and college admission typical data with high fairness and objectivity as a test with confidence and validity based on the characteristics of the individual curriculum. The College Scholastic Ability Test is held 1 time per year and is usually held for one day in mid-November. Currently, the College Scholastic Ability Test consists of the following areas: Korean language, mathematics, English, Korean history, social/science/vocational Study, and 2nd foreign language/Chinese language.
