KARIC held its 10th Higher Education System Online Seminar with Japan on Friday, 10 April 2026.

For this session, we invited Professor Taiji Hotta, Visiting Professor, NIAD-QE(National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education) & Senior Adviser of NIC-Japan, to present an overview of Japan’s higher education system, qualification framework, and the current status and issues related to recognizing foreign academic degrees in Japan.

Following the previous session featuring Nepal, this seminar on Japan also served as a meaningful opportunity to enhance understanding of qualification recognition and to promote information exchange between countries.
