KARIC has three main tasks. First, KRAIC operates a website and offers a Q&A service related to recognition of qualifications. Second, KARIC conducts research on recognition of qualifications. Third, KARIC builds a global network in collaboration with other NICs worldwide.
An NIC is an organization providing information on higher education, which is required to recognise degrees. To implement the AP convention, the parties to AP convention have established NIC and provided information required for recognition of qualifications. In addition, they hold sessions to share information.
In Korea, the competence to make decisions in recognition matters lies with individual higher education institutions or other entities. For instance, universities which recruit students and employers who require specific degrees can be the competent recognition authorities. KARIC only provides information to help with the recognition of qualifications. KARIC does not verifiy or recognise degrees.
In general, qualifications in higher education conferred in other countries are recognised, unless a substantial difference exists. However, higher education institutions or employers retain the right to make decisions on admissions or employment.
We need to collect and use personal information to operate KARIC Q&A service.
The information entered will be used only for of Q&A service and not for other purpose.
※ You cannot use Q&A service, if you disagree.
